Several people have inquired about the green and blue dye which has been on the course in the past. The colorant is a spray dye indicator allowing us to track where we have applied chemicals. In this case we had applied roundup to all dormant bermudagrass. We are removing the winter annual weed (poa annua). Since roundup is a systemic herbicide it must be translocated through the plant in order to kill, and bermuda being dormant is unable to metabolize the product, leaving it untouched. The poa being in an active growing state will utilize the roundup and slowly die.
